Exploring artistic partnership from multiple vantage points, uncommon practice /open studio is a project built on the belief that collaboration nourishes creators, expands communities, and has the potential to unfold into new projects, unexpected learning, exceptional growth, and innovative creation. Working in partnership, The Phoenix Concerts and The Hartt School co-present a program of contemporary works featuring the world premiere of a series commission for voice and electronics by Ken Steen, composer-faculty member of The Hartt School, and the world premiere of a new work by Daniel Martin Minogue for chamber ensemble and electronics.
